Hints can only be used for the seek and find portion of the game.You will earn a Perfect Investigation Bonus (25,000 points) when you find all the items from a level without using a hint.The hints will always be available but they will still cost you 7,500 points each time you use it. If you do not want to wait for your hints to replenish you can go to the options menu and select the 'Unlimited Hints' option.Always try and leave your hints for when you absolutely cannot find an item.
Using hints will deduct 7,500 points from your total points, use them sparingly.The item will be highlighted on the list on the left and also in the scene. If you’re stuck trying to find an item you can click on the hint button and you will be able to find one of the items from your list. Hints are available in the game and they take time to replenish, about a minute or so.The game is pretty lenient when it comes to incorrect clicking, it is only when you click very quickly that you will be penalized some points.The levels are timed but in my opinion they do give a generous amount of time in which to play the levels.You can only unlock this mode once you’ve found all the locks that are hidden in the scenes. 'Unlimited Seek and Find' means that you can find every single item in a particular scene.
